Sarah and Kyle are a quintessential Washington, DC couple: he is a lawyer, she works in the nonprofit sector, and both work near the Supreme Court. Their engagement session was originally planned for Capitol Hill, but when a government shutdown made permits unavailable, we shifted the morning to Georgetown.

The change brought us one of early November’s most picturesque settings. We began beside the Potomac at sunrise, surrounded by idyllic light and peak fall color, then worked our way toward Georgetown’s historic streets and storefronts. The resulting gallery feels distinctly DC, moving from quiet waterfront portraits to the polished city atmosphere of one of Washington’s most recognizable neighborhoods.
