Alex & Azad | MOVING SESSION

The shoot was relaxing and many laughs were exchanged throughout. It was a really fun way say goodbye to a space that we had loved for so long, and prepare us for our next chapter.

There were so many memories that we were leaving in our apartment so we knew we had to have Christine capture us enjoying our space one last time.

Malik | Proposal Photography

Christine exceeded my expectations, completely blew them out of the water. The pictures came out amazing. Her whole set up was flawless. She is very personable and made the process a lot less stressful. She had the pictures ready the next day. I would recommend her to anyone.

Christine is the real deal! I wanted to capture my proposal for my fiancée and make sure she was able to have the memory forever.

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING

When Tim called to plan his proposal to Rachel we had a lot of fun planning. He decided to go with a true undercover proposal. I got their early, picked a spot, sent him a photo and hid until they went for a walk. Then he got down on one knee and when she said yes, the whole picnic area cheered!

For Chanai's high school senior portraits she decided to go to Lake Kittamaqundi. For senior portraits I like to do a few cap and gown photos, a few casual portraits and an outfit of choice. Chanai is part of the class of 2020- and her prom was canceled after she already had her dress. This was a perfect way to make sure it still got the love it deserved!

Katie and Mick had a challenge- they lived out of state but were getting married in Maryland. One month after that they would be moving to London. It was fast planning and their engagement session needed to be in early March. They proved, without a doubt, winter beach sessions are vastly under rated. This session had a raw graphic nature to it with shapes from the sand and old fort. Paired with their great style, it became a fast favorite!

For their anniversary, Emily only wanted one thing and Rob knew exactly what to gift her- a photo session featuring their newest family member- Charlotte! They opted for a beautiful picnic in my own backyard, followed by an outfit change and a trip to the sunflower farm next to my house!

We do graduation photos, weddings, engagements but housing buying is one of our biggest life decisions and so few people mark this occasion. Alex and Azad had been renting for year, saving up for their dream home. They opted to celebrate their move out by scheduling photos on their final clean out day, saying goodbye to their first home together, and preparing to say hello to their first house!

The whole family was in town for Piper's graduation from College Park with her Master's degree. Jillian had graduated the year prior in 2020 and was cheated out of a big celebration so it was decided that she should bring her cap and gown so both sisters could be appropriately celebrated in one of their favorite places- Annapolis!

You know that moment when you see a beautiful place on vacation and you try to lock that memory in forever, to make it last but all you can do is take a cell phone photo that doesn't really capture the magic. Let me capture it for you. You deserve to see yourself in the vacation photos, hair blowing in the breeze, playing with your kids, a kiss from your spouse. I'll take care of the memory part- you live in the moment.

Malik hid in the basement while we were on the phone planning his proposal. Because he was so nervous he opted for a half truth. He told Amanda he was gifting his Mother a family session. Since it's just the two of them, he invited Amanda and her Mother to join. After all photo sessions are an hour - it only made sense for them to join. Everyone but Amanda knew that when I pulled Malik and Amanda aside, there was going to be a very big question...

NEXT QUESTION

No one wants to look like a wet dog in their photos so if it looks like it's going to rain, snow, hail or some other weather catastrophe, we'll be in touch via email or phone to reschedule.
Some locations (like a college campus for a graduation session) would provide us a covered area that we can work with but we'll discuss that option if we need it.

what do we do if it rains?

NEXT QUESTION

I only take portrait sessions 6 months in advance with 2-4 months being the recommendation. Go earlier if you want a really specific date because you're timing cherry blossoms or leaves. Need holiday card images? Those MUST be completed before Thanksgiving- book no later than September.
To reserve your date, we'll need a contract as well as a deposit. And if something comes up and you need to change your date, just let us know!

How far in advance should we book?

NEXT QUESTION

Start with a pallet. Neutrals of cream, tan, blues are classic. Layers add texture. Make sure some people wear solids while others wear patterns so everyone stands out on their own without clashing.
Need more help? I have tons of sessions to inspire you and I'm happy to do a video call with you to narrow down options.

What should we wear?

NEXT QUESTION

Everyone feels awkward in front of the camera. Heck, I take photos for a living and I even feel like a deer in the headlights when I'm in front of the camera.

As the session goes on and I coach you through images, and I'll guide you to your very best angle. I can't undo insecurities but I can help you feel beautiful and confident if you lean into the session and embrace your special moment.

Photos are awkward/ I'm not photogenic.

Within a few weeks of your session, you'll receive a link to a digital gallery that will allow you to download high resolution images.

The gallery is also set up to make ordering prints, canvases and other keepsakes as easy. No worrying about tricky things like color correction, DPI and image format.

How will I receve my photos?
