Whether we photograph along the coast, in the city, at home, or somewhere you have always wanted to go together, the session is designed to feel relaxed, intentional, and fully your own.

An engagement session gives us time to create without the pace of a wedding day. We can choose a setting with meaning, follow the light, play with movement, and create photographs that feel connected to this particular season of your life.
For wedding clients, it also becomes part of the preparation. By the time your wedding arrives, you are no longer stepping in front of the camera for the first time. We already know what feels natural, what kind of direction helps, and which photographs feel most like you.

Engagement sessions are included with every full wedding collection. For couples planning an engagement session on its own, collections begin at $850 and are thoughtfully planned around your location, wardrobe, timing, and the kind of photographs you want to create.
Collections & Investment
Most engagement sessions are photographed as part of a full wedding collection, but I reserve limited availability each year for couples who want an engagement session on its own.
This is a thoughtful option if your wedding is taking place abroad, you’ve already chosen a wedding photographer elsewhere, you’re visiting Maryland, Washington, DC, or the East Coast, or you simply want refined photographs of this season together.

READY TO BEGIN?
Yes. I’ll help identify whether a permit is needed and guide that process so expectations are clear before the session. Permit fees in the DMV area often range from $50 to $250, while private venues, hotels, estates, or destination locations may require custom access fees or buyouts.
Will you help us secure permits?
Often, yes. Many engagement sessions include time for a second outfit or nearby location change, depending on timing, light, travel, and the overall plan for the session. We’ll talk through what makes sense during the planning process.
Can we choose more than one location or outfit?
Absolutely. Bring me your dream destinations, favorite places, wardrobe ideas, and the feeling you want the photographs to have. We can look at mood boards, explore new locations, and shape a session that feels personal rather than expected.
Will you help us plan something extraordinary?
Yes, with limited availability each year. Standalone engagement sessions are a thoughtful option for couples planning a wedding elsewhere, visiting Maryland, Washington, DC, or the East Coast, or simply wanting refined photographs of this season together.
Do you offer engagement sessions on their own?
Yes. Every full wedding collection includes an engagement session because I believe it makes the wedding day feel more comfortable and familiar. It gives us time to work together before the pace of the celebration begins.
Are engagement sessions included with wedding collections?
Ideally, plan at least three months ahead of the season you want to photograph in so there is time for location planning, permits if needed, and wardrobe. For popular seasons like fall, six to nine months is recommended for the best date availability.
